Florida Man Calls Police to Report Stolen Drugs While no one appreciates having their belongings stolen, when your belongings include illegal drugs, such as cocaine, it’s probably best to hold off on making that call to the police. A Florida man recently called the police to report just such a robbery. It seems that the man did not appreciate his cocaine supply being lifted from his vehicle. The man was arrested soon thereafter. This Florida man is a cautionary tale; if your illegal drugs are stolen, you should probably call it a day and refrain from calling the police.

The Rest of the Story

It gets better from here. The Sheriff’s office that took the man’s call reports that he called on a Sunday morning to report that he was a drug dealer and that someone had stolen a quarter ounce of cocaine and about $50 out of his parked car. The man seemed to see no reason to sugarcoat the truth of the matter.

Cracking the Case

The deputy that investigated the call found both lingering traces of cocaine and a crack rock on the console of the man’s car – he also found a crack pipe on the floor of the car near the driver’s seat. The man was subsequently arrested and charged with resisting an officer without violence, possessing drug paraphernalia, and possessing cocaine, which is a felony charge. He was booked the same day and later released on $4,000 bail.
